Read Edward Breen’s glowing Gramophone review of Chorus vel Organa: Music from the Lost Palace of Westminster (August 2016). The CD has also been reviewed by BBC Radio 3 Record Review.

The new medieval organ made as part of the research project is currently located in the parish church of St Laurence, Ludlow, and was used during the Ludlow Arts Festival (11-19 June 2016). It also features on Chorus vel Organa: Music from the Lost Palace of Westminster, a CD of pre-Reformation Tudor polyphony with the choir of Gonville and Caius College Cambridge (Director: Geoffrey Webber: Organ: Magnus Williamson), released on the Delphian Label in May 2016.

Recent events

Aspects of the EoW project research were showcased by John Harper at the Virtual St Stephen’s project conference at the Palace of Westminster on Monday 19 September 2016.

The St Teilo organ formed part of John Harper’s presentation on Three Tudor Organs at the 40th Anniversary Conference of the British Institute of Organ Studies at Magdalene College Cambridge on 9 September 2016.

Professor John Harper spoke about aspects of the Experience of Worship project at St Helen’s Ranworth, Norfolk on Saturday 30 April 2016. The day included sung Vespers: details at the Ranworth Symposium 2016.
